"TRACE" is a mirror based on the traditional and basic Japanese tray. By setting the mirror surface slightly inward from the edge, the connection from the edge to the bottom board is visible, and the original form of the tray can be felt. We have transformed elements of lacquerware into a form that easily fits into modern life.

Formed in 2008 by Kenji Ito and Takahiro Umino. Both graduated from Kuwasawa Design School. They create objects that blend into daily life, capturing the ambiguous atmosphere behind things that cannot be fully grasped, while maintaining that ambiguity.
