pattern G27 [Ryoku]
The "pattern" tableware by yumiko iihoshi porcelain is based on the shapes and styles of traditional Japanese tableware, but with a modern touch to suit diverse contemporary dining tables.
Just like making clothes, each piece of tableware is designed using individual patterns (pattern paper), and each shape is given an alphabetical name such as A, B, C... Through repeated consideration, 8 carefully selected shapes were chosen.
Each piece of tableware can be used individually, or multiple shapes can be combined to freely adorn anything from a casual daily tea time to a special dining scene for a large group. Furthermore, not only can they be combined, but simply changing their orientation from vertical to horizontal or their placement can significantly alter their use and impression on the table, making each piece a versatile item that expands the enjoyment and possibilities.
