    The wrought iron used for the frames of the "Officina" family is formed by pressing iron onto an anvil and hammering it. This process is said to have a history spanning thousands of years. Designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec used this ancient manufacturing process to create a new visual language. The surface of the frame retains hammer marks and irregularities, and this lively texture adds character and a sense of craftsmanship to the product.

    Chair:
    A chair that exquisitely combines a frame with hammer marks and a slender, elegant seat. The frame finish comes in two types: galvanized (silver) and black painted (gray anthracite). The seat can be selected from polypropylene, plywood, fabric, or leather. Polypropylene seats can be used outdoors.

    －RONAN & ERWAN BOUROULLEC－
    Brother designers Ronan (born 1971) and Erwan (born 1976) were both born in France. In addition to designing furniture for companies such as Cappellini and Vitra, they have also worked on interior design, such as designing Issey Miyake's Paris store, and are active in a wide range of product and interior fields. Their works are held in numerous museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum in London.
