Comment from the brand:
This is a vintage replica fabric, commonly seen in Japan, made from ordinary cotton. We named it "Common Denim" because it's a no-frills shuttle selvedge denim. While it seems to have plenty of lore, like its white selvedge and its reputation as a replica, we simply thought, "This texture woven on a shuttle loom is just great." We appreciate that in Japan, we can casually use such fabrics without much fuss. Since it's indigo, it will fade, and even though we've used a white facing, color transfer will occur. Although it has been sanforized, it will shrink to some extent and likely skew. Please treat it similarly to general domestic replica jeans.
Garment washed and tumble dried.
This product uses indigo dye. Indigo dye may transfer color to light-colored clothing, so please be careful when wearing and washing.
Due to the garment washing process, color transfer from the indigo dye can be seen on the white fabric parts.
Also, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or fluorescent light may cause the dye to decompose and yellow. To prevent light from hitting and burning specific areas, especially folded corners and edges, we recommend storing it in a case.
On the other hand, the unique texture and color changes from fading due to wear are part of the charm of indigo dyeing, so please enjoy the aging process as you break them in.
