This book compiles the practices of the University of Tokyo's "Invention Project ROCKET," which has provided learning opportunities for children who don't fit into uniform schooling but possess exceptional "passions." Based on over 300 carefully selected program examples, it introduces mechanisms that help unwind rigid thinking and create exciting learning experiences.
The book also includes columns with lectures and words from 34 top leaders supporting ROCKET's activities, such as Oriza Hirata, Naoko Yamazaki, and Toshiyuki Inoko. It also offers hints useful for teachers, as well as for children's PBL and inquiry-based learning.
