Book: DAVID KOHN ARCHITECTS.STAGES
This book is the author's first comprehensive monograph, offering an overview of their activities since the firm's establishment in 2007. Twelve independent booklets, varying in format, subject, and composition, are bound together, each presenting multiple perspectives on the studio's practice with abundant illustrations.
The book contains twelve booklets titled "An Architect’s Book," "Fables & Figures," "White Wide Walls," "The Hedgehog And The Fox," "Collaboration Objects," "Scenographies," "Rural Codes," "Only A Wall," "Contemporary College," "November 2024," "Jujitsu Urbanism," and "Other Rooms." Each section differs in form and content, illuminating aspects of the design process from analytical, artistic, critical, and editorial perspectives.
Together, these twelve books were conceived with the spirit of an artist's book, resulting in a sample book with its own unique logic and identity. This approach is reflected in the carefully selected project composition, the editorial direction by curator and editor Moritz Küng, the graphic design by Armand Mevis, which defies ready-made formats, and the contributions from invited collaborators.
