    A collection of works by Dutch artist Mark Manders. It was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at Zeno X Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium, from September to October 2022. This book provides an overview of the artist's long-standing collaboration with the gallery, showcasing numerous important exhibitions and special projects by the artist both within and outside Belgium, from the 1990s to the present.

    Since 1986, the artist has been creating installations, sculptures, works on paper, and drawings based on the concept of "Self-Portrait as a Building." These works are considered a metaphor for a fictional building, divided into separate "rooms" of indeterminate shape and size. There is no beginning and no end. The artist uses familiar materials such as clay, bronze, and wood, and typical forms, to pursue timeless universality. As a result, the artist's bronze sculptures and installations appear more fragile than the materials actually used.

    This book includes texts contributed by the artist, as well as texts by Frank Demaegd, founder of Zeno X Gallery, and Marjolein Sponselee, a Dutch art historian and writer.
