The "Stool" is a special product created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of more trees.
With the theme of "connecting," which is central to more trees' activities, world-renowned designers Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano collaborated on its design. This product embodies the spirit of more trees, and serves as a bridge connecting more trees' past and future, as well as people around the world and forests.
The "Stool" comes in three sizes: the simple single-seater "Single," the "Double" which combines two "Singles," and the elongated "Long." All feature soft forms with the warmth of solid wood, bringing coziness to our lives. They can be used in various settings depending on combinations and ideas.
The material used is solid hinoki cypress from Gifu Prefecture, handcrafted one by one by local artisans. The hinoki cypress from this region is called "Tono Hinoki" and has been used for traditional architecture such as temples and shrines since ancient times. It is a representative Japanese hinoki known for its pleasant fragrance and excellent strength.

more trees is a forest conservation organization established in 2007 by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto.
With "connecting cities and forests" as its keyword, more trees undertakes various initiatives, including developing "more trees forests" through collaboration with local communities, planning and developing products utilizing domestic timber, and disseminating information and attractions of forests through events. To effectively utilize the blessings of the forest, they collaborate with creators and local artisans to create products.
