Based on the theme of "connecting," which resonates with more trees' activities, Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano, both widely active globally, collaborated on its design. This product embodies the spirit of more trees, acting as a bridge connecting more trees' past and future, and people around the world with forests.
The "Stool" comes in three sizes: the simple single-seater "Single," the "Double" which combines two "Singles," and the elongated "Long." All feature a soft form with the warmth of solid wood, bringing coziness to our daily lives. They can be used in various settings depending on how they are combined and your imagination.
Made from solid cypress wood from Gifu Prefecture, each stool is handcrafted by local artisans. The cypress from this region is known as "Tono Cypress" and has long been used in traditional architecture such as temples and shrines. It is a representative Japanese cypress known for its pleasant fragrance and excellent strength.
