    Cugino is a stool designed by Konstantin Grcic. It is a skillfully crafted wooden object, "not a stool" and "not a low table," but can actually be used as either. With his experience in woodworking, Konstantin Grcic designed a shape with room for interpretation, focusing on the design of solids and voids rather than assigning a function from the outset.

    MATTIAZZI is an interior brand established in 1978 by the Mattiazzi brothers from Northern Italy. In a region where wooden furniture manufacturing is an industry, they have cultivated reliable craftsmanship as custom-made furniture makers for a long time. In recent years, by inviting famous designers such as Konstantin Grcic and the Bouroullec brothers, they have begun to release works with edgy and unique designs. For many of their lineups, they are committed to environmentally friendly manufacturing that does not use metal materials such as screws.

    －Konstantin Grcic－
    Born in Munich, Germany in 1965. Graduated from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London in 1990. After working at Jasper Morrison's office, he established "Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design" in 1991. His work is known for its logical thinking, purity towards materials, and respect for the production process, with a wide range of clients including Cappellini, Flos, Iittala, Magis, and MUJI.

    ・This product uses natural solid oak wood, so there may be vascular bundles, knots, medullary rays, and streaks in the wood grain due to expansion and contraction from temperature and humidity changes. This does not affect use and is not considered a defect, so please be aware of this in advance.
    ・Medullary rays are patterns unique to Fagaceae that appear when the wood contains abundant nutrients, and wood with these patterns is considered to be of good quality.
