The AYNO is designed in accordance with the 10 guidelines* set by Midgard, a long-established German lighting manufacturer, for achieving a circular economy. Two adjustable rings and a cable are attached to a fiberglass rod. By moving the rings up and down, the tension between the rod and the cable changes, allowing for stepless adjustment of the lamp's height. Furthermore, this lamp can be completely disassembled, enabling delivery with minimal packaging, and faulty parts can be replaced individually. The appeal of this product also lies in its thorough consideration for the user and the environment, as many parts such as the rod, base, and plug are readily available and can be acquired by the user themselves. It can be used in various scenarios, such as raising the rings all the way up to use it as a floor lamp, or applying tension to the rod to use it as a desk lamp. *Midgard's 10 guidelines for achieving a circular economy 1. User can repair without tools. 2. LED and transformer can be replaced without tools. 3. Resource consumption is as low as possible. 4. Use of recycled or recyclable materials. 5. Use of semi-permanently reusable materials. 6. Use of freely available semi-finished products (plugs/connectors/tubes/rods). 7. Local sourcing (short transport routes). 8. Enables decentralized manufacturing (short transport routes to the customer). 9. Space-saving transport of individual parts. 10. Development of LEDs/electronics/transformers. Development of LEDs/electronics/transformers from a single source according to the highest lighting standards (CRI, quality, Lm/W). Stefan Diez Born in Germany in 1971. Grew up as the fourth generation of a family of carpenters. From 1996 to 2002, he trained as a cabinetmaker in the family business while studying design under Richard Sapper. After collaborating with Konstantin Grcic, he graduated from The State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart in 2002 and established "DIEZ OFFICE" in Munich. ・If a part is damaged, it can be replaced individually at a cost. Please contact us for details. ・Due to a change in the AC adapter color from the new lot, you can choose between orange and black for the AC adapter cable (see images 10 and 11). Once the orange stock runs out, all will be unified to black. ・Fine scratches or minor imperfections may be present on the base. Unless the scratches are remarkably noticeable, we consider them good quality as they do not affect usage. Thank you for your understanding.
