MEGANEROCK is a workshop located in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a renowned area for eyewear production. Each pair of glasses is meticulously crafted by Mr. Amada of MEGANEROCK, from design to nearly every stage of manufacturing.
This new line, "VECTOR," uses acetate material instead of the traditional celluloid.
Its appeal lies in its vibrant colors and transparency, which differ from celluloid. Above all, it offers a wider range of colors and patterns not found in celluloid, allowing for completely different expressions.
While "shooting" is the common method for temple processing, MEGANEROCK employs a rare and time-consuming technique called "core bonding," which is rarely seen nowadays. The core inserted into the temple is shaped like an arrow, which is also MEGANEROCK's logo, showcasing attention to detail in even the smallest parts. The nose pads with cringes offer a comfortable and secure fit, preventing slippage and allowing for long hours of wear without fatigue.
