A functional shopping bag with a classic plastic bag shape and deep side folds.
It was born from Susan's desire to create a bag to replace disposable plastic bags and reduce the waste generated from them.
The material used is ripstop nylon, a strong material also used in parachutes. It is as thin as paper, very light and durable, and can withstand 20 kg of weight.
SUSAN BIJL
Designer Susan Bijl completed her first design and prototype in 2000 after studying at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Based on the Dutch design philosophy of "less is more," her products are made according to safe and environmentally friendly standards.
The brand continues to be loved and has attracted interest from shops around the world, including Paul Smith in the UK and United Arrows in Japan.
