Shopping Bag S / Sunset Park
A shopping bag created to commemorate Susan Bijl's 25th anniversary.
This special series was born from a collaboration with "75B," a graphic design studio in Rotterdam.
This functional shopping bag features the classic shape of a plastic bag with deep pleats on the sides. It was born from Susan's desire to create a bag that could replace disposable plastic bags and reduce the waste they produce.
There are three vibrant gradient colors: Bluebird Days, Humming Limes, and Sunset Park.
Sunset Park is a romantic color combination inspired by the soft light of the setting sun and a quiet park at night.
The material is ripstop nylon, a strong fabric also used for parachutes. It is as thin as paper, very light and durable, and can withstand a weight of 20kg.
SUSAN BIJL
Designer Susan Bijl completed her first design and prototype in 2000 after studying at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Based on the Dutch design philosophy of "less is more," her creations adhere to safe and environmentally friendly standards.
The brand continues to be loved, attracting interest from shops around the world, including Paul Smith in the UK and United Arrows in Japan.
