Shopping Bag L / Humming Limes
A shopping bag created to commemorate Susan Bijl's 25th anniversary.
This is a special series born from a collaboration with "75B," a graphic design studio in Rotterdam.
A functional shopping bag with a classic plastic bag shape and deep side pleats. It was born from Susan's desire to create an alternative to disposable plastic bags and reduce the waste generated from them.
There are three vibrant gradient color variations: Bluebird Days, Humming Limes, and Sunset Park.
Humming Limes is a refreshing color combination inspired by the dynamism of hummingbirds and the tangy acidity of limes.
The material is ripstop nylon, which is also used for parachutes and is highly durable. It is as thin as paper, very light and strong, and can withstand a weight of 20kg.
SUSAN BIJL
Designer Susan Bijl completed her first design and prototype in 2000 after studying at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Based on the Dutch design philosophy of "less is more," her products are made under safe and environmentally friendly standards.
It is a brand that continues to be loved and has attracted interest from shops around the world, including Paul Smith in the UK and United Arrows in Japan.
