With their unique presence characteristic of tin and an addictive sense of balance, their form is just right for displaying larger plants as vases.
This collection was born from his project "Objetos de Hojalata para el Hogar," which literally translates to "Tin Objects for the Home." Fabien focused on Hojalata (tin), researched workshops that manufacture them, deepened his understanding of the industry, and built relationships with various craftsmen. Ultimately, considering the manufacturing methods and processes, he began producing specific items in several workshops. The Watering Cans are one of the results of this endeavor. This is a collection of functional products for the home that utilize valuable yet overlooked techniques.
Fabien Cappello
A furniture and product designer born in France in 1984. He studied at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland, and in 2009, he obtained his master's degree from the Royal College of Art in the UK under the guidance of Martino Gamper and Jurgen Bey. In 2010, he opened his design studio in London. Since 2016, he has been based in Mexico City, working on various projects ranging from commercial products to edition production and public design.
