In the process of creation, we launch projects with various phenomena and elements found around us as themes.
The first theme for elements was "fire."
"FIRE MOLDING" was born from learning about "fire," an important element humanity acquired during evolution, and through repeated experiments and practice. It is an object inspired by the "SWEDISH TORCH," a log stove that is a traditional wisdom of life in cold Nordic regions. It utilizes the traces left in the log after the fire has burned out as a wooden mold for glassblowing.
While the wooden mold can be used several times, it wears down due to the heat of the glass and eventually becomes unusable. Furthermore, due to this change, even when using the same mold, a different shape and expression emerge each time.
The organic forms created by fire create fluctuations in the glass's expression, and when light hits it, its contours emerge.
