In the creative process, the "elements" project sets various phenomena and elements present around us as its theme.
The first theme chosen for elements was "fire."
"FIRE MOLDING" was born from learning about "fire," a crucial element humanity acquired during its evolution, and through repeated experimentation and practice. Inspired by the "SWEDISH TORCH," a log stove reflecting the wisdom of life in the cold northern regions, it is an object that utilizes the traces left in the log after the fire has burned out as a wooden mold for glass blowing.
While the wooden mold can be used several times to some extent, it wears out due to the heat of the glass and eventually becomes unusable. Furthermore, due to this change, even when using the same mold, different shapes and expressions emerge each time.
The organic forms created by fire generate a subtle undulation in the glass's appearance, and when light strikes it, its contours become illuminated.
