    Origin Made is a brand directed and operated by Singaporean designer Gabriel Tan.
    Just like traditional Japanese crafts, Portugal has traditional handicrafts that are slowly disappearing.
    They research these handicrafts, materials, and techniques to design and manufacture products that play an important role in modern society. They found that there is a sense of nostalgia and authenticity in the handicraft process, and focused on human connections. By combining contemporary design with the skills of artisans cultivated over generations, they create interior objects, lighting, and furniture that are loved across time. By collaborating with family-run workshops and artisans, Origin Made discovers local manufacturing methods and raw materials, and strives to convey these artisans and techniques through unique products. They also view raw materials not merely as everyday items, but as fundamental components that form the basis of art and design, and encourage consumers to have a different perspective through Origin Made products. By fostering a deeper relationship between humanity and these materials, they hope to inspire a closer connection and responsibility to our shared Earth.
