    This is a square bowl by Tetsuhiro Iwata, a ceramic artist based in Tokyo.
    It is made from artificial semi-porcelain, a combination of porcelain clay and earthenware clay, and finished with a clear glaze that is glossy and does not craze. While the piece has a grayish-white color and an industrial, rugged appearance, the traces of the artist's hand from the analog techniques used prevent it from feeling cold.

    This small bowl has a rounded bottom but a square mouth. It can be used not only for meals but also as a小物入れ for small items in the bathroom or on your desk. The way it looks when stacked is also appealing.

    Tetsuhiro Iwata
    A ceramic artist based in Tokyo. Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture in 1981. After graduating from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Art, Department of Architecture in 2004, he worked at an interior shop. In 2014, he entered the Tochigi Prefectural Ceramic Art Center. From 2016, he studied under Kan Ito in Okayama Prefecture. In 2019, he opened his own kiln in Tokyo.
