Cast Pudding Mug L [White]
※Please note that purchases of works by Tetsuhide Iwata are limited to 8 items per person.
Tetsuhiro Iwata is a ceramic artist based in Tokyo.
His works are made from an artificial semi-porcelain combining porcelain clay and earthenware clay, finished with a glossy clear glaze that prevents crazing. The grayish-white color and industrial-like, rustic appearance, coupled with the subtle traces of the analog handcrafting process, mysteriously prevent them from feeling cold.
This is the L-sized version of the small, pudding-shaped mug.
The size of this L-size mug directly adopts the size of the standard S-size before firing.
In other words, the L-size represents the S-size before it is fired.
The L-size and S-size. While they might appear to be simply different sizes, they visually represent the changes a vessel undergoes before and after firing.
The rim is thinly finished, emphasizing its lightness. It holds approximately 300ml when filled to 80%, 100ml more than the S-size.
