The eda stirrer is a product born from research conducted by designer Natsuki Shingu into Satake Glass Co., Ltd., which has been making "rod materials" for glass beads and glass figurines in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, since its establishment, using manufacturing methods that have remained unchanged since the company's founding.

Satake Glass is the only company in Japan that continues to produce these colored glass rod materials using traditional methods. Despite the labor-intensive manufacturing process, Satake Glass accounts for almost all of the domestic share of rod materials.

By repeatedly breaking and rejoining the rod materials in a simple process, an organic, branch-like form and individual differences are created. The unique undulations of the colored glass, produced by hand, bring an emotional splash of color to your glass.
