Eda is a muddler created after designer Natsuki Shingu researched Satake Glass Co., Ltd., a company that has been producing glass rods (the material for making glass beads and glass figurines) in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture using the same methods since its establishment.

Satake Glass is the only company in Japan that continues to produce these colored glass rods using traditional methods. Despite the labor-intensive manufacturing process, Satake Glass holds almost the entire domestic market share for glass rods.

Through the simple, repetitive process of breaking and rejoining the glass rods, an organic, branch-like form with individual variations is created. The unique undulations of the colored glass, crafted by hand, bring an emotional touch of color to your glass.
