Based on the archives of Danish ceramist Richard Manz, this Tea Cup has been re-breathed into life through a dialogue with his daughter, Cecilie. In this vessel, where Danish and Japanese cultures intersect, there is a timeless perspective on everyday objects that remains unchanged through the ages.
While versatile enough to be used not only for drinks but also as a small dish for food, or a dessert bowl, its presence on the dining table is captivating.

Born in Esslingen, Germany in 1933, Richard Manz was trained as a ceramist (State Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart: 1950) and a stove tile maker (1953).
After working at Gustavsberg in Stockholm, Sweden from 1956 to 1965, he moved to Denmark in 1966 and established his own workshop with his wife, ceramist Bodil Manz.
