"2016/" is a collaborative project between Arita, Saga Prefecture, and the Netherlands, commemorating the 400th anniversary of Arita ware. New Arita ware was created by 16 pairs of designers, kiln manufacturers, and trading companies, active both in Japan and overseas.

The traditional overglaze enamel painting in Arita is called "akae," and special colors have been used since ancient times. Focusing on this "aka" (red), a collection centered on red has been developed. The linear designs blend seamlessly into various dining tables, whether Japanese or Western. The unique matte finish is achieved through a special glazing technique.
It can be used for food storage or storing small items.
