    A project called "2016/" is a collaboration between Arita, Saga Prefecture, and the Netherlands, commemorating the 400th anniversary of Arita ware. New Arita ware was created by 16 groups of designers and 16 kilns and trading companies active both in Japan and overseas.

    German designer Stefan Diez examined the balance of Eastern and Western food cultures and developed a series of tableware that would become a modern standard. As a result of creating efficient production processes, many porcelain products are no longer special, but he was concerned about standardized production and proposed a modern collection that requires the skills of craftsmen. This is a series of beautiful tableware with delicate, undistorted lines that connect from the sides to the back.
