    To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Arita ware, the "2016/" project was launched, a collaboration between Saga Prefecture's Arita and the Netherlands. New Arita ware was born from the collaboration of 16 acclaimed designers from Japan and abroad, and 16 kilns and trading companies.

    German designer Stefan Diez explored the balance between Eastern and Western food cultures and developed a tableware series that sets a new contemporary standard. While efficient production processes have made many porcelain products commonplace, he was concerned about standardized production and proposed a modern collection that requires the skill of artisans. This series of beautiful tableware features delicate, seamless lines that flow from the side to the back without distortion.
