A wall-mounted vase created through a collaboration between Marutomi (Marutomi Shikki) in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, and Italian architect Alessandro Mendini from Milan.
Though it has a simple structure combining two types of parts, its eye-catching form and colors give it a strong presence, making it an accent not only as a vase but also as a decorative object.
The part that touches the wall and the triangular part that holds the flowers are easily detachable, making it simple to change water and flowers. As production has ceased, only dead stock remains.

    Alessandro Mendini
Architect, born in Milan in 1931. He served as editor-in-chief for numerous architecture and design magazines such as "Casabella," "Mode," and "Domus." In 1976, he also joined Studio Alchimia, an avant-garde design group, working with Ettore Sottsass and others. He has released works for various companies, including Zanotta, Alessi, and FIAT.
