    Born from the changing Japanese lifestyle, from evolving food culture to the blurring lines between work and home, SARO is a lifestyle brand inspired by scenes from daily life, creating functional products with a fresh perspective.

    The first release, the FLATWARE COLLECTION 2023, is a collection of 23 pieces developed in collaboration with a diverse range of carefully selected Japanese craftspeople and Swiss industrial designer Carlo Clopath, offering broad and flexible solutions for modern Japanese dining.

    This cutting board is handcrafted by artisans. A smooth, gentle curve extends from the center to the corner of the board, making it easy to carry. Its minimalist size makes it convenient for storage in the kitchen, and its serene appearance also makes it suitable for use as a serving board at the dining table.

    designed by Carlo Clopath
    Carlo Clopath (born 1986) is a Swiss industrial designer.
    After studying industrial design at ECAL/University of Art and Design in Lausanne, he joined Cecilie Manz' Office in Denmark in 2012. In 2013, he participated in an artist residency at the Statens Værksteder for Kunst, an art workshop in Copenhagen. He then established his own studio in a Swiss Alpine village, where he is currently active. He has presented many projects primarily with artisans and producers in Europe and Japan, as well as research institutions.
