    From changes in food culture to the blurring boundaries between work and home, SARO is a lifestyle brand born from the changing lifestyles in Japan. By drawing inspiration from everyday scenes, we create functional products with a fresh perspective.

    A wooden spoon with a rounded ladle-like shape, finished with fuki-urushi (wipe lacquer). It can be used in a wide range of everyday situations, such as for soup or fried rice.
    The bowl and tip of the spoon are thinly made, and the handle is a bit long and stylish. While simple, it is handmade with attention to detail.

    designed by Carlo Clopath
    Swiss industrial designer, Carlo Clopath (born 1986).
    After studying industrial design at ECAL/University of Art and Design in Lausanne, he joined Cecilie Manz' Office in Denmark in 2012. In 2013, he participated in an artist residency at the Statens Værksteder for Kunst art workshop in Copenhagen. He then established his own studio in a Swiss alpine village, where he is currently active. He has presented many projects with artisans, producers, and research institutions mainly in Europe and Japan.
