CNC made WOODEN SPOON SMALL (LACQUERED) 木製スプーン・小(拭漆)[BLACK]
The first installment, FLATWARE COLLECTION 2023, was born from a collaboration between carefully selected Japanese artisans from various fields and Swiss industrial designer Carlo Clopath. It is a collection of 23 pieces that flexibly accommodate a wide range of modern Japanese eating habits.
This wooden spoon features a rounded shape, like a ladle, and a fuki-urushi (wipe-lacquer) finish. It can be used for a wide range of dishes, including noodles like udon, soups, and curries. The bowl and tip of the spoon are thin, so you don't feel the bulkiness typical of wooden spoons. The spoon's wooden base, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, is produced at a Hokkaido furniture factory using a 5-axis NC machining process.
