“PARK” is a multi-purpose plate designed by Akihiro Kumagaya.

“PARK” is a product whose constituent elements are the "interstice" (awai) between machine industry and handicraft, which is a characteristic of Echizen lacquerware, and the "interstice" (awai) of uses that a vessel can accommodate.

The half-pipe form is inspired by the gentle partitions of lacquerware serving dishes and plates. On the dining table, it can be used as a tray, bowl, or plate. Placed around a desk, it neatly holds scattered stationery and glasses. Placed at the entrance, it seems just right as a "designated spot" for keys and accessories. While there are certain ways to use it like this, it encourages "ingenuity = arrangement" born from the user's daily life.
