PARK [Forest]
“PARK” is a multi-purpose plate designed by Akihiro Kumagaya.
The product "PARK" is composed of two "interstices": the "interstice" between machine industry and handicraft, which is a characteristic of Echizen lacquerware, and the "interstice" of uses that a vessel can accommodate. The half-pipe form is inspired by the gentle partitions of lacquerware serving dishes and plates. At the dining table, it can be used as a tray, bowl, or plate. Placed around a desk, it can neatly hold scattered stationery or glasses. If placed at the entrance, it would be perfect as a "fixed spot" for keys and accessories. While there are certain ways to use it, the product encourages "ingenuity = arrangement" born from the user's daily life.
