STORE Tall Round / Red
"Japan Creative" is a project aimed at widely disseminating Japan's excellent aesthetic sense and traditional techniques, both domestically and internationally. From this project, "STORE" was born through the collaboration of Industrial Facility (Sam Hecht & Kim Colin), active in the UK, and Sekisaka Lacquerware.
"STORE" is a collection of multi-purpose containers that can be used in bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and offices. There are two sizes each for the two designs, round and oval, and this is the Tall size of the Round type with a silicone gasket.
The starting point of the design is the traditional and iconic Japanese lacquerware bowl. "STORE" is designed as if the shape of that bowl was used as the base and extended upwards. The main body is made of injection-molded ABS resin, and the lid is made of wood (sen); the round type comes with a silicone gasket.
By manipulating traditional forms, "STORE" has become a product that can adapt to modern lifestyles. The good points of both the past and the present have been incorporated into a single product. From coffee beans to keys, from flour to rubber bands, "STORE" can handle all small-scale storage needs in life.
