    It is a versatile box that beautifully organizes miscellaneous items in the living room and kitchen.
    Utilizing the box-making techniques of Echizen lacquerware, the angles were cleverly adjusted to create a modern and sleek product. The parallelogram shape when viewed from above strikes a delicate balance, catching the eye without being too overpowering. By distorting the perspective, a sense of discord is introduced to the corners that would normally appear at right angles. While simple in appearance, it is an abstract box that, like a picture frame, mysteriously makes its contents appear cohesive.

    Product designer. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art. Completed studies in Design Products at the Royal College of Art. After working at Panasonic Corporation, IDEO London, and the Boston office, established GEN SUZUKI STUDIO in 2014. With his studio integrated into his home, he collaborates with domestic and international companies such as Herman Miller, Casper, and Omron, using an approach that blurs the lines between life and design. He has received numerous awards, including the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD Gold, IDEA Gold, and permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. He is also a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University and Musashino Art University. In 2021, he served as the jury president for the D&AD Awards product category.
