    It is a versatile box that beautifully displays miscellaneous items around the living room and kitchen.
    Utilizing the techniques of Echizen lacquerware box-making while adjusting the angles, it has been finished into a modern and sleek product. The parallelogram shape when viewed from above strikes an exquisite balance, catching the eye without being overly assertive. By distorting the perspective, it creates a sense of intrigue in what would otherwise appear to be right-angled box, making it an abstract box that, despite its simple appearance, mysteriously makes its contents appear cohesive, much like a picture frame.

    Product designer. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art. Completed the Design Products course at the Royal College of Art. After working at Panasonic Corporation, IDEO London, and Boston offices, he established GEN SUZUKI STUDIO in 2014. With his studio attached to his home, he collaborates with domestic and international companies such as Herman Miller, Casper, and Omron, taking an approach that doesn't separate life and design. He has received numerous awards, including the German Design Award Gold, IDEA Gold Award, and permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. He is a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University and Musashino Art University. In 2021, he served as the jury president for the Product Design category of the D&AD Awards.
