    This is a multi-purpose box that beautifully organizes miscellaneous items around the living room and kitchen.
    Utilizing the square-shaped craftsmanship of Echizen lacquerware, the angles have been cleverly designed to create a modern and sleek product. The parallelogram shape when viewed from above strikes a delicate balance, catching the eye without being overly assertive. By altering the perspective, the square form, which would normally appear at right angles, is given an unexpected twist, resulting in a simple yet abstract box that, like a picture frame, mysteriously unifies whatever is placed inside.

    Product designer. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art. Completed studies at the Royal College of Art, Design Products department. After working at Panasonic Corporation, IDEO London, and Boston offices, he established GEN SUZUKI STUDIO in 2014. With his studio attached to his home, he collaborates with domestic and international companies such as Herman Miller, Casper, and Omron, taking an approach that integrates life and design. He has received numerous awards, including the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD Gold, IDEA Gold, and permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. He is also a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University and Musashino Art University. In 2021, he served as the jury chairman for the product category of the D&AD Awards.
