The "cobble" small box is made from Echizen washi paper. "Cobble" means "stone" in Swedish. Each piece of raw washi paper is carefully laid onto a wooden mold to form a firm small box. Shaping the edges neatly with washi paper is extremely difficult, and these boxes are made using a unique method developed by Yanase Washi.
