It contains 20 songs chosen by Sakamoto as the last pieces he wished to leave to the world, including the famous "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence," tracks from Sakamoto's last album "12," and "Tong Poo" from his YMO days, performed for the first time as a piano solo. The production involved a crew Sakamoto fully trusted, including director Neo Sora, cinematographer Bill Kirstein, recording engineer ZAK, editor Takuya Kawakami, and lighting director Yukiko Yoshimoto. The film was screened at the Venice International Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and Tokyo International Film Festival, and has garnered significant global attention, with over 40,000 attendees in South Korea within 10 days of its release.
