    The "Japanese Tableware Series" was designed by Sori Yanagi in 1975 as everyday Japanese tableware.
    Under the supervision of the Yanagi Industrial Design Institute, the original design was reissued in 2022 by Miyama, a tableware manufacturer in Gifu Prefecture.
    The plain white type, newly added with the reissue, has the original sometsuke pattern removed, giving it a more minimalist impression that blends easily into modern life.

    The kyusu, with its distinctive cylindrical shape, is an iconic item in the Yanagi Japanese Tableware Series. It's not as large as it looks and is easy to use quickly. It can hold enough tea for two standard-sized sencha cups.
