Vase - 100% + 100% [White]
Tetsuhiro Iwata creates pottery based in Tokyo.
He uses a glossy, craze-free clear glaze on an artificial semi-porcelain clay body that combines porcelain and earthenware clay. The gray-tinged white and industrial-product-like rugged appearance, combined with the traces of hands left by analog techniques, surprisingly doesn't feel cold.
These vases are constructed from cylindrical and hemispherical shapes.
After creating the master model using 3D modeling and 3D printing, a plaster mold is then made, slip is poured in, and the pieces are joined. Traces from the printing layers, the plaster mold lines, finger marks, and firing cracks are all accumulated from various digital and analog processes, creating a unique expression.
