Tetsuhiro Iwata is a ceramic artist based in Tokyo.
His pieces are made from artificial semi-porcelain, a mixture of porcelain clay and earthenware clay, coated with a glossy, crackle-free transparent glaze. While they have a grayish-white color and a rugged, industrial appearance, the traces of analog hand-craftsmanship that remain mysteriously prevent them from feeling cold.
They can be imagined for various uses such as soap dishes, small desk organizers, or accessory trays.
They can also be used as tableware for snacks.
