Tetsuhito Iwata is a ceramic artist based in Tokyo.
He creates his pieces using an artificial semi-porcelain clay, a mixture of porcelain and earthenware clay, and a glossy, crackle-free clear glaze with a special formulation. His works feature a grayish-white color and a rugged, industrial product-like appearance, yet the analog techniques leave traces of the hand that mysteriously prevent them from feeling cold.
This container is shaped like multiple connected cylinders, created using a 3D-printed mold. The rounded lower part acts as a partition internally, allowing pens and other items to be neatly separated when stood upright.
