SARO is a lifestyle brand born from the changing landscape of Japanese life, from evolving food culture to the blurring lines between work and home. Inspired by everyday scenes, SARO creates functional products with a fresh perspective.
The renge (spoon) features a simple, rounded form, as if a single plate were gently bent, and can be used for more than just serving food. It is versatile, serving as a dessert spoon, tea spoon, or even a serving spoon.
The handle is gently curved all the way to the tip, providing reliable functionality perfectly suited for its original purpose as a renge.
The enamel type has a smooth feel in the mouth.
The lacquered chopsticks, essential to Japanese dining, are made slightly longer than standard chopsticks. They come in four finishes: vermilion, tame (dark amber), maki-ji vermilion, and maki-ji black. Each chopstick is carefully handcrafted by artisans in Fukui Prefecture, from the wooden base to the lacquer finish.

Swiss industrial designer, Carlo Clopath (born 1986).
After studying industrial design at ECAL/University of Art and Design in Lausanne, he joined Cecilie Manz' Office in Denmark in 2012. In 2013, he participated in an artist-in-residence program at the Statens Værksteder for Kunst art workshop in Copenhagen. He then established his own studio in a Swiss Alpine village, where he currently works. He has presented many projects primarily with artisans, producers, and research institutions in Europe and Japan.
