    SARO is a lifestyle brand born from the changing Japanese way of life, from evolving food culture to the blurring lines between work and home. By drawing inspiration from everyday scenes, we create functional products with a fresh perspective.

    The first installment, FLATWARE COLLECTION 2023, was created through the collaboration of various carefully selected Japanese craftspeople and Swiss industrial designer Carlo Clopath. This collection of 23 pieces offers broad and flexible solutions for modern Japanese dining.

    This versatile renge (Chinese-style spoon) can be used not only for cooking, but also as a dessert spoon, tea spoon, or serving spoon, allowing for a wide range of uses. The surface is enamel-coated. The simple, rounded shape, resembling a softly bent single plate, features a gentle curve extending to the tip of the handle, providing reliable functionality well-suited for its original purpose. The enamel coating also gives it a smoother feel in the mouth.

    Swiss industrial designer, Carlo Clopath (born 1986).
    After studying industrial design at ECAL/University of Art and Design in Lausanne, he worked at Cecilie Manz' Office in Denmark from 2012. In 2013, he participated in an artist residency at the Statens Værksteder for Kunst art workshop in Copenhagen. He then established his own studio in a Swiss Alpine village and has since been active, primarily launching numerous projects with artisans, producers, and research institutions in Europe and Japan.
