This is a mug by Takuya Yamamoto, a potter based in Kashiwara City, Osaka Prefecture.
It has a glossy, enamel-like finish and is an off-white, not a pure white, vessel.
It is made using a technique called "katauchi" (molding) that combines a potter's wheel and plaster molds.
